Suttipong Wanwanich, general manager of Aston Martin Bangkok, and Dr Sunhavut Thamchuanviriya, group managing director of Master Group Corporation, recently hosted a party at the W Bangkok’s Woobar to introduce
four film stars: the Aston Martin Vanquish, Rapide S, DB9 and Vantage have played a role in James Bond films.
Attending the event were celebrities and car enthusiasts Vichai and Juthamas Bencharongkul, Teerayuth and Chanadda Chirathivat, Suthin Jiramaneekul, Jarin Tumwattana, Chavayos Rattakul, Dr Chettha Songthaveepol, Rika Dila, Butrrat and Janista Charoonsmith.
The event, part of the celebrations for the classic car firm’s 100th anniversary saw the venue transformed in true 007 style with the concept “You are the Target”, inspired by the British spy.
The highlight of the night was the Vanquish, Aston Martin’s most powerful car. The Rapide S, long recognised as the world’s most beautiful four-door sports car, was there too along with the DB9, a motor noted for its elegance.
The night was completed with the Vantage, a superb high-luxury sports car that Aston Martin guarantees offers ultimate power and pure sports essence.
Businessman Jarin Thammawattana couldn’t keep his eyes off the cars. “I’m a huge fan of the Aston Martin classics, such as the DB2, DB3, and DB4. My favourite though is the DB3. Its timeless design and powerful engine contribute to its prestige and charm. I remember admiring it in the James Bond films, especially in the series starring Sean Connery as 007.”
Rika Dila is also a fan. “I have been driving the Aston Martin for a while and love its classic and sophisticated appeal. My favourites are the classics, especially the ones from the 1960s-1970s that are longer in length and quadrilateral in shape.”
