Surapong and Chalerm are stirring up trouble at CAPO

It is clear that the Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) has overextended its power beyond an appropriate line.
Caretaker Deputy PM Surapong Tovichakchaikul and caretaker Labour Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung – who oversee CAPO – have threatened to take punitive action against civil servants who show their preference for political reform before an election.
It shows CAPO was created to intimidate dissenters rather than to bring peace and order.
CAPO’s style of work also does not go in line with democratic principles.
Hence, if allowed to go on this way, CAPO’s existence will only bring civil war – not peace.
