I do respect John Arnone’s opinion.
However, I stand by mine that all of Thailand’s past constitutions were good enough for the country as a democratic monarchy.
The reason we had to write a new charter time and again was because whenever a coup happened, the constitution at that time was always annulled.
We did not bring back any of the old charters to use because it would have made the coup look foolish and unwarranted. Hence a new charter after every coup.
In my opinion, any charter along the same lines as those from the past will do just fine, since the problem our country is facing concerns the human factor, not the system.
Hence, instead of chastising me for being fearful of new developments, John Arnone should point out an example of a directly elected government leader in a constitutional monarchy to back up his argument and claim.
