As much as I adamantly avoid prognosticating, please let me foretell the future of Thailand vis-à-vis the "Je Suis Charlie" effort.
Expatriates in Thailand will see this as another chance to throw fuel on the flames (as they have done so often in the past) and will spew forth vitriol in hopes of being seen, once again, as the only solution to the world’s problems.
The Kingdom of Thailand is not the place for second-rate expats who could not make it at home to attempt to become rabble-rousers via brainless diatribes filled with gutter language and gutter thinking.
We have Thai Muslims and Muslim visitors in Thailand to respect and protect – in the Thai way, not in the gung-ho way.
