Beginning of the end of the clan

The belief of the clear divisive camps in our society of “pro-democracy” and “anti-democracy” or the “elites” and the “poor” — which has been used profusely by the Shinawatras and some Westerners — was well highlighted by the editorial as ludicrous manoeuvring for political gains by the family. The statement from Somsak Jeamteerasakul, a hardcore red-shirt leader, ridiculing Thaksin’s only son, Panthongthae, for the “war” cry immediately after the guilty verdict against his aunt, was revealing. Somsak’s reasoning will remain with us as a harbinger of the beginning of the end of the clan in our history book.
In the end, the age of reason will return for good.
