Police chief a shining example to his men

I am sure all readers would be happy to join me in lauding Police General Somyot Poonpanmuang's decision to summon Immigration Police chiefs this week and berate them for exploiting the system for their own financial benefit.
It is also a valuable lesson to those junior officers who complain about the humble levels of police pay. The general provides a shining example of how, by being thrifty as one rises up the ranks and scrimping and saving where one can, it is possible to accumulate a modest nest egg of over Bt300 million.
