The Pheu Thai Party was against the charter draft because it did not address reconciliation. In an orderly society, reconciliation is not a factor. If a group has overstepped the mark and offended the rest of society, the way forward is acknowledgement and apology.
The red shirts claimed the charter draft was “undemocratic”, and I would agree, but if the previous administration was an example of democracy in action, who needs it?
