Don’t misrepresent a popular movement

I had wondered when the anti-Trump liberal forces would cease calling Donald Trump racist, misogynist and homophobic and graduate to comparisons with Saddam Hussein and Hitler. Barry Kenyon, who is almost certainly not even American, finally made the big leap for us.

I hate to tell you this, Mr Kenyon, but the American system of governance is simply not set up to accommodate either a Saddam or a Hitler. You probably already know that but, like most liberals, you feel that it is time to break out the “fascist” tag to try and stop what seems to be a very popular movement. 

I watched all of this happen 50 years ago to Barry Goldwater, who was a good man, but made the mistake of suggesting tactical nuclear weapons be used in Vietnam. By the time the Barry Kenyons of the world had done with him, he had become the devil’s master-at-arms. Mr Kenyon, there is only one more card to play. As a last resort, you will have to compare Trump to the people who pulled off the Pattaya Bridge Club raid. You can even relate personal stories of being hauled off to a dungeon and extorted for money. That should really frighten people.
