Right on 2 counts, but Trump’s never been a curmudgeon

I agree with the thesis of your editorial, but must take exception to your characterisation of Donald Trump as “a billionaire curmudgeon and bigot”.  Billionaire, yes. Bigot, yes. But curmudgeon?
Curmudgeons everywhere, including my humble self, are bound to be offended to learn that you consider the Trumpeter to be a member of our noble breed.  This is extremely hurtful to us.  My good friend Ye Olde Pedant, with whom I share a first and middle name, points out that if you had omitted the curmudgeon business and just called Trump “a billionaire bigot”, your editorial would have gained in rhetorical force augmented by a pleasing alliteration.
Next time, please spare the sensitivities of curmudgeons throughout the planet by using a different word. (The a-word comes to mind if it doesn’t offend the censors.)
