Turn up the fitness volume for Pop Pilates

Fitness-club chain Virgin Active Thailand has introduced “Pop Pilates”, the music-driven exercise regime favoured by singer Taylor Swift and apparently three million other people around the world.

American fitness entrepreneur Cassey Ho, host of the “Blogilates” YouTube channel, created what’s said to be an “addictively fun” workout.
Website Greatist named Ho among the world’s top 25 “health and fitness influencers, and Blogilates is the No 1 fitness channel for women on YouTube with three million subscribers.
Pop Pilates promises total body conditioning to sculpt lean dancers’ physiques. It’s choreographed to your favourite Top 40 hits to keep up the energy level and heart rate.
Each 55-minute class is akin to a “dance on the mat”, and the choreographed moves and energetic music makes it fun and effective. The workout is highly intuitive and suitable for all fitness levels.
“We’re proud to be the first in Thailand to introduce Cassey Ho’s innovative workout,” says country manager Olarn Phirintharangkoon.
“It’s an exciting addition to our already extensive repertoire of dance- and mind- and body-based classes. We’re constantly keeping an eye on new workouts that are not only proven to be effective but are enjoyable as well.”
