Siam Discovery suits up the ‘millennials’

Fashion guru Kullawit Laosuksri believes the experience-hungry young generation known as millennials will be a significant economic driver – and should dress the part.

A recent event called “Siam Discovery Presents Spring-Summer 2017 Collection” featured a fashion show hosted by mall operator Siam Piwat’s deputy managing director Chanisa Kaewruen and senior director of retail development Parisa Chatnilbandhu.
Kullawit offered an outlook of new trends and introduced the must-have items sold only at Siam Discovery.
Millennials are the current centre of attention, he said, constantly seeking out fresh experiences and chances to develop themselves while maintaining a healthy balance between work and leisure.
The spring-summer clothing available at the mall tends to be playful and lively and affords each wearer to make a statement about his or her identity, Kullawit said.
The attire is geared to the enthusiasm and creativity of youth, embracing their varied interests and keenness for enjoyable pastimes.
Her Lab on G Floor sells various brands, such as Frnch, a French label offering chic women’s clothing that captures their simple and natural charm.
British brand Palmer Harding is known outside the UK as the Shirt Boys and specialises in interesting shirt designs. They can be oversized or extended and always stand out.
Zespa footwear, also based in France, uses premium materials and is distributed in only 19 countries.
“At His Lab on M Floor, the highlights include Saint Paul, a Belgian fashion label that’s into simple colours and clothes that boost the wearer’s confidence and spice up their style,” Kullawit said.
“Tee Library T-shirts are famous for prints inspired by fairytales and well-known books. Even the packaging looks like a pocketbook, with the cover changing for each collection based on the seasons.
“And Street Lab on the first floor features Blue Nails, with apparel inspired by the blue of indigo dye and made of natural materials. There are eJeans in handcrafted denim with unique characteristics.
“Selvedgework, a Thai brand that’s grabbed a lot of attention, allows denim lovers to design and personalise their jeans, even selecting the buttons, texture and thread colour.”
“Siam Discovery has a wide range of brands that can suit the needs of every fashionista,” said Parisa.
