Why Prayut could be ambushed in the White House

Re: “Thailand prime minister to visit White House on October 3”, Reuters, yesterday.

He better familiarise himself with all the trading aspects and agreements between Thailand and the United States. The US is the third-largest trading partner for Thailand, which has a trade surplus in the deal. Trump is in a foul mood, with his angst with just about everything – especially his pet subject, trade imbalances. Prayut may get the end of a curve-ball and he better prepare well to defend.

I don’t think Khun Prayut Chan-o-cha is too concerned about Trump. I’m sure he’s had to deal with worse than him throughout his military service.

Doubtful in a society based on nepotism. You can see that when he gets challenged, his first instinct is to get angry. Trump is the same, but he is elected, so Khun Prayut is not going to get much respect there. He is lucky to be seen by any elected official.
The discussion is going to be about shutting down North Korean government businesses and trade.
