Each year, the United States absorbs 1 million immigrants. During that same period of time the 5.6 billion will increase by 80 million. Suggesting, as the elite globalists do, that the US can help solve world poverty by taking in immigrants, is therefore complete nonsense. This is just one more tactic of the leftwing globalists to appeal to the naive altruism of their gullible followers.
It’s like trying to raise the sea level by tipping in a glass of water, but the foolish believe it.
However the Democrats celebrate the increase in welfare dependency that ensures a million more votes. The principle is the more people dependent on government, the easier the population is to control. Another political ploy is foreign food and monetary aid. All that achieves is making an already massive problem even bigger.
Appealing to emotions and exploiting the suffering of billions for political gain is not the answer. The problem of unsustainable population growth and the resulting poverty must be tackled at source with education. The 650 million in Africa, the 890 million in India and the 810 million in Asia in a state of absolute poverty should be made to realise they are creating their own problem. At the same time the wealthier nations must lift themselves out of their equally destructive wallowing in guilt and the poorer nations must bury their envy and become self-reliant.
As soon as one speaks of population control the left wing trolls immediately shout “eugenics”. Controlling birthrate has nothing to with eugenics. When people are already in a state of poverty, bringing children into the world is condemning them to the same fate. Where livestock is a measure of wealth the problem is further exacerbated because the animals consume food the people could eat. Problems are only solved by facing the harsh facts of reality. Dumping political correctness would be a first step by starting to call a spade a spade. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.”
