US needs gun elimination

It blows my mind that even after the death of 17 children at the Florida high school Americans are still talking about 2nd Amendment rights, which they claim gives virtually everyone the right to own a firearm.
The 2nd Amendment was written shortly after America had been in a revolution and it refers to an “armed militia”. It has nothing to do with the realities of today. Amendments can be added to the constitution and there should be a new one – it should declare that, with rare exceptions, anyone outside of the military and law enforcement found with a firearm will be prosecuted and face up to 10 years in prison. With 300 million guns, it is insanity to talk about gun control. We need gun elimination, with some exceptions. The Americans unfortunately love their guns more than their children.
