Cow’s milk is also a child-health issue
Re: “There’s blood in your milk”, Have Your Say, yesterday.
As a follow-up to Jenny Moxham’s letter about dairy milk, I’d like to quote my late friend Dr Bill Harris: “Milk is the perfect food – if you’re a cow!”
To give milk that was meant for a calf, who has several stomachs and puts on hundreds of pounds, to a child, is not merely irresponsible, it is child abuse!
While I share Jenny’s concern about the cruelty of the dairy farms (that in itself is good enough reason not to drink milk) this is also a major children’s health issue as well.
