One can understand people who have been lulled into a false sense of security and well-being by ineffectual government policies of appeasement and weakness, being hit with a shock. A government that is too weak to face conflict and relies on borrowing US$10 trillion over eight years to create a false “everybody’s happy aren’t we” utopia is a confidence trickster. Such a government is definitely not a role model for children. It’s much the same as people who go on a daily shopping spree with a wallet full of credit cards. They feel life is good but when the bills pour though the letterbox they get a sharp wakeup call. They are snapped back into reality. President Trump is snapping the United States back into reality. As he says, it will cause pain in the short term but the country will become solvent, secure and great again. America has to produce its way out of trouble. It can no longer borrow to impress the world with the false image of being its benefactor.
The Obama administration doubled the national debt from $10 trillion to $20 trillion “with devastating effect”. It created a fool’s paradise with an economy floated on debt with an $800 billion trade deficit. Unemployment and food stamps were at record levels and they were fortunate that they lost the presidential election of 2016. That is “ the uplifting of the economy started under Obama”. Obama was a community organiser with no business experience. President Trump since childhood was immersed in the tough world of construction where success comes from making things work. He knows how to bring people together to create a reality that works. And that is exactly what the US urgently needs.
The US has had to be shaken out of its fool’s paradise of credit cards and living in debt. Trump is doing just that in spite of being under constant attack from the sore losers whose corruption and economic incompetence he’s exposing. As a youth, Trump listened to the sermons of his pastor, Norman Vincent Peale, the author of “The Power of Positive Thinking”. His pastor was his guiding light and now Trump is the guiding light for all Americans, young and old.
Trump’s American dream is based on reality not fantasy.
