Police have arrested a rubber-latex tapper for possessing more than Bt25 million worth of illicit drugs.

Jakkrit Wongsawat, 28, was nabbed on Sunday at a checkpoint in Bangkok while taking a taxi to visit his girlfriend. Found in his possession was more than 230,000 methamphetamine pills and two kilos of crystal methamphetamine, say police.
Police say Jakkrit has confessed that he was paid Bt100,000 to receive the illicit drugs from a designated location in Ayutthaya and to deliver it to his hometown in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
