Free durian-tasting event for tourists in Ranong
Tourists at a village in Ranong’s Kraburi district will receive 2,500 kilogram of free durian on Sunday, the provincial governor said on Tuesday.
Chatupoj Piyumputara said the provincial administration had teamed with the Ranong Provincial Administrative Organisation and the Tambon Chor Por Ror Municipality in Kraburi to hold the free event.
Chatupoj said the event will be held to promote the tambon’s high quality durian.
The governor said Tambon Chor Por Ro produces the most durians in the province.
The governor said durian growers in the tambon do not use chemical including pesticides.
