The investigation into the mysterious death of a conscript at a Surat Thani military camp still has not concluded, as the autopsy results have not been released, while CCTV footage and the interrogation of persons of interest had reportedly failed to yield any results.

The head of the investigation team, Pol Colonel Wichob Kerdkliang, said police could not finish the investigation regarding the death Private Noppadol Worakitphan, who died from internal injuries shortly after arriving home last Saturday, as there was not enough evidence to conclude there had been a physical assault.
Wichob said the interrogation of 20 people at the base and the inspection of surveillance camera footage had not indicated a physical attack against Noppadol.
He added that there would have to be more evidence, including the official autopsy results from the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Police General Hospital and Surat Thani Hospital, to conclude the investigation.
Activities at Vibhavadi Rangsit Camp reportedly were continuing as normal despite the loss of the new conscript.
Noppadol was the second conscript at the Surat Thani base to die recently with initial evidence pointing towards a beating.
