Trump slams Fed as it considers rate increase

His tweet foreshadowed a Tuesday (July 30) meeting of the US Federal Reserve that, together with the Wednesday (July 31) is considering whether or not to increase the base interest rate.
According to his tweet, the Fed “raise” was way too early and way too much. Their quantitative tightening was another big mistake, he posted.
“While our country is doing very well, the potential wealth creating that was missed, especially when measured against our debt, is staggering. We are competing with other.”
The Fed has a regularly scheduled meeting over the two days, during which it will consider whether to raise the rate. Most analysts are forecasting that they will increase the rate by 0.25 per cent.
