New MP to replace disqualified Thanathorn in seven days

Following the Constitutional Court's ruling against Future Forward party leader Thanathorn Jungroongruangkit, disqualifying him as a member of parliament for holding shares in a media company, a new face will move up to replace him within seven days in parliament.

Manop Kiri-Phuwadol, the 51st party-list candidate of Future Forward party, will take the place of Thanathorn as a MP.
Manop, a member of a Karen hill-tribe community, is a key figure of a ethnic group in the north of Thailand which helps improve the livelihood of ethnic people through higher produce prices and finding plots for farming.
