Elephants head to school to celebrate early Christmas
Ayuthaya elephant palace staff dressed four pachyderms in Santa Claus outfits to celebrate Christmas at Jirasart Witthaya School on Monday (December 23).
The principal of the school invited both Thai and foreign staff, along with four elephants, to celebrate Christmas early and handed out presents such as dolls, balloons and snacks to more than 3,500 students.
There was also a mini elephant show, much to the students' delight. Later, junior high students sat in the shape of a Christmas tree with the elephants squatting in the middle, making for a phenomenal, unforgettable – and memorable – photo.
