Most Laotian workers who returned from Thailand and underwent quarantine are not infected with Covid-19, Laos’s Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Committee announced.

It said 68,534 of the 113,404 returnees who used to work in Thailand were quarantined under government supervision in 2,112 centres, while 44,870 underwent self-quarantine at home.
After 14 days, 104,626 have been cleared and released from quarantine.
Only 8,715 still remain isolated – 4,130 at government centres and 4,585 in their homes.
Some 122 returnees were thought to show symptoms of the virus but were all cleared after a test.
