Pink Temple opens almshouse to distribute food

Pink Temple opens almshouse to distribute food

Wat Thawi Karanan – also known as the “Pink Temple” – in Pathum Thani has opened an almshouse to distribute cooked food to locals suffering from the impact of Covid-19, according to its patriarch.

To prevent Covid-19 from spreading, the monk asked people arriving for food to observe the social-distance rule and leave a three-metre space between each.
Those wishing to receive cooked food can head to the temple’s parking lot on any day at 5pm. The almshouse will remain open until the situation returns to normal.
People who arrive to receive food must pass a screening test, check for temperature that should not exceed 37.5 degrees and use alcohol hand sanitisers to wash their hands.
