The municipality announced on its website (http://chaoprayasurasak.go.th) that registrations will be open from May 1-3 at the municipality office between 9am and 4pm. Approved registrants will receive Bt1,000 per household regardless of whether or not they were approved to receive the government’s Bt5,000 cash handout.
To be eligible, a candidate must be a local resident of Chaoprayasurasak City, aged over 18 years, and be a private employee or self-employed. Students, civil servants, state enterprise employees and pensioners will not be considered for the handout. Most importantly, registrants need to provide evidence of being affected by the Covid-19 crisis.
Required documents for registration include copies of house registration, ID card, bank passbook and employment evidence (if any).
“Registrants should wear face masks and maintain social distancing during registration days,” the municipality added.
