Tourism workers offered free English e-learning courses
The government is offering English for tourism e-learning courses to encourage students, tourism industry personnel, and the general public to develop their English skills. The move by the Department of Tourism follows an Asean agreement on standards for tourism workers.
Four e-learning courses – housekeeping, front office, food production, and food and beverage services – will help learners develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
People can apply for the courses at https://e-learning.dot.go.th.
Applicants must take a test before and after the course. Those who pass each course will receive certification.
