Train services between Bangkok and Prachinburi are truncated on 2–3 October as railway officials monitor track conditions to ensure passenger safety.
The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has modified operational plans for six Eastern Line train services on 2 and 3 October 2026, truncating routes to ensure passenger safety as floodwaters in key areas remain stable.
Under the revised schedule, affected train services will operate exclusively on the section between Bangkok and Prachinburi, with further extensions halted until track conditions improve.
Adjusted Services for Thursday, 2 October 2026:
Train No. 281 (Bangkok–Kabin Buri): Operating only between Bangkok and Prachinburi.
Train No. 282 (Kabin Buri–Bangkok): Operating only between Prachinburi and Bangkok.
Train No. 279 (Bangkok–Ban Klong Luk Border): Operating only between Bangkok and Prachinburi.
Train No. 277 (Bangkok–Kabin Buri): Operating only between Bangkok and Prachinburi.
Adjusted Services for Friday, 3 October 2026:
Train No. 278 (Kabin Buri–Bangkok): Operating only between Prachinburi and Bangkok.
Train No. 280 (Ban Klong Luk Border–Bangkok): Operating only between Prachinburi and Bangkok.
The SRT confirmed that these route truncations will remain in place across 2–3 October or until floodwaters recede sufficiently to permit safe passage.
Railway engineering teams are continuously monitoring water levels, conducting detailed track inspections, and expediting restoration work along inundated railway sections.
Full service operations will resume once safety standards are satisfied. Passengers are advised to verify real-time train status via the SRT’s online train tracking system or contact the 24-hour Customer Service Centre at 1690 for further assistance.
