Taekwondo K44 fighter won Thailand’s first medal at the Paris Paralympics

Nation Group CEO Shine Bunnag on Friday congratulated para-taekwondo athlete Khwansuda Phuangkitcha for winning the first medal for Thailand at the Paris Paralympics.

Khwansuda, a human resource officer at Nation Group, won the first bronze medal for Thailand in the women’s 47kg K44 category (impaired in one arm from the wrist up) on Thursday.

World No. 4 Khwansuda fought fiercely to secure her victory against Iran’s Maryam Abdollahpour Deroei. After being tied at 4-4 rounds, the Thai fighter won in the golden round 18-15.

Khwansuda’s victory was an early celebration for her 24th birthday that falls on Saturday (August 31).
