Tracklab Youth, led by President Pakakorn Thienthong, successfully hosted the “Pit Visit & Hands-on Experience with Go-Kart Teams 2026” on August 15, 2026, at the iconic Bira Circuit in Chonburi.
The event brought approximately 30 to 40 local vocational students out of the classroom and directly into the fast-paced, high-precision world of professional motorsport.
Supported by Manoch Rungseemaneerat, Head of the Automotive and Electric Vehicle Technology Program, along with accompanying educators, the event was designed to bridge theoretical learning with practical, real-world industry application.
During the immersive session, students were given direct access to professional pit operations. They engaged in critical tasks including vehicle inspection, race car setup, specialized tool usage, tire management, and real-time communication between pit crews and drivers.
Beyond technical skills, the program emphasized vital professional attributes such as precision, strict discipline, team dynamics, and rigorous safety protocols.
A highlight of the visit was a mentorship session led by Norrarat "Nexsi" Apivart, an emerging racing driver with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand and founder of Nexkart Racing.
Apivart shared personal insights into pre-race procedures, technical rigors, and the mental discipline required to excel at the highest levels of competitive racing.
Looking beyond one-off experiential learning, Tracklab Youth aims to build a sustainable talent pipeline connecting educational institutions directly with motorsport employers.
“We want this project to be more than simply bringing students to a racetrack. We want to create a pathway from the classroom to the racetrack, and from the racetrack to real career opportunities,” stated Pakakorn Thienthong.
“If students successfully complete the professional work experience program and meet the required skills and qualifications, they may also be considered for future positions with Nexkart Racing - giving them opportunities to gain valuable experience, earn income, and build long-term career stability.”
As Tracklab Youth, Nexkart Racing, and regional vocational institutions deepen their partnership, the project plans to expand formal internship programs.
By equipping Thailand’s next generation with hands-on, professional-grade expertise, the initiative plays a critical role in strengthening the workforce for the nation's rapidly growing automotive and motorsport sectors.
