
The national costume round of Miss Universe Thailand 2026 (MUT 2026) will set MGI Hall alight with pageant excitement on Tuesday (August 18, 2026), as contestants representing all 77 provinces go all out to showcase Thai soft power under the “Fruits & Food” theme.
They will compete to deliver the most spectacular presentations as they pursue the “Celestial Ascent” crown and the chance to represent Thailand at the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico.
Attention from around the world is focused on MUT 2026, with this year’s contest being staged on a grander scale under the leadership of Nawat Itsaragrisil, the pageant’s president.
Alongside him, Veena Praveenar Singh, first runner-up at the 74th Miss Universe competition and Miss Universe Thailand 2025, has put aside her beauty-queen image to take on the challenging role of pageant manager.
Together, they are leading the 77 provincial contestants into an important day eagerly awaited by pageant fans around the world.
From 7pm on Tuesday (August 18), MGI Hall at Bravo BKK is set to reverberate as the National Costume Competition unfolds under the creative concept “Fruits & Food: Thailand Soft Power”.
Through masterful designs, the 77 contestants will convey Thailand’s identity, abundance and food and fruit culture.
They are ready to go all out, combining extravagance with creative force as they vie for the spotlight and important cumulative points.
Another unmissable highlight is the prestigious “Celestial Ascent” crown, a symbol of transcending every limit.
Its soaring lines reflect the dreams, determination and energy of modern women who never stop moving forward.
At its peak sits a genuine natural blue sapphire, likened to a guiding star in the universe and symbolising wisdom, power and leadership.
The design reflects the slogan “BEYOND THE STARS, INTO THE UNIVERSE”.
The winner of MUT 2026 will receive the crown and take on the major responsibility of representing Thailand at the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico in late 2026.
In the latest update at 2.20pm on Tuesday (August 18), the nine provincial representatives with the highest Thailand’s Choice Award vote totals were as follows.
