Khao Yai closes for two days as heavy rain raises landslide risk
Khao Yai National Park will close on September 26-27 after persistent heavy rain triggered flash floods and raised the risk of landslides, rockfalls and fallen trees.
Khao Yai National Park will close temporarily for two days on Saturday and Sunday (September 26-27) because of persistent heavy rain and concerns over visitor safety.
The park announced on Friday (September 25) that continuous rainfall had caused flash floods in several areas, leaving some routes impassable.
Officials also warned of the risk of landslides, rockfalls and falling trees, which could endanger tourists and members of the public travelling through the park.
To reduce the risk of accidents, the park will close both the Chao Por Khao Yai Shrine checkpoint and the Noen Hom checkpoint on September 26 and 27.
