MRTA offers flood-affected motorists free parking at 11 stations until Sept 28 or Oct 2
Free flood parking ends at noon on September 28 at Si Iam and Min Buri, and October 2 at nine other stations. Central Chaengwattana also offers space

The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has opened park-and-ride facilities at 11 stations across Bangkok and surrounding provinces for free parking during the floods. Collection deadlines differ: vehicles must leave Si Iam and Min Buri by noon on September 28, while parking at the other nine listed stations is available until October 2, 2026.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploythalay Laksameesaengjan announced the arrangements for cars and motorcycles belonging to people affected by flooding. Central Chaengwattana has separately opened part of its car park to help motorists protect their vehicles from flood damage.
Si Iam and Min Buri parking ends at noon on September 28
The MRTA arrangements require vehicles parked at Si Iam on the Yellow Line and Min Buri on the Pink Line to be collected by noon on Monday, September 28. The remaining listed station car parks have an October 2 collection deadline.

Station car parks require photographs and proof of ownership
People using the free station parking must present photographic evidence and proof of ownership of the vehicle to car park staff, according to the government announcement.
Users must also follow station staff’s instructions and park only in designated areas. The announcement does not specify what the photographic evidence must show.
- Central Chaengwattana opens Car Park B, Level 4.5
- Central Chaengwattana is offering free parking for cars on Level 4.5 of Car Park B, under its “Thai Ruam Jai Thi Central” relief campaign. The shopping centre’s notice does not give an end date for the arrangement.
- Motorists can obtain further details by calling 02-101-0000. Central Chaengwattana is on Chaeng Watthana Road in Bang Talat subdistrict, Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi.
The measure forms part of Central Pattana Public Company Limited’s approach of making shopping-centre car parks available without charge to help people in flood-risk areas protect their vehicles.
Transport agencies ordered to maintain 24-hour flood watch
Ploythalay said Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn had instructed all Transport Ministry agencies to intensify flood monitoring and response around the clock.
Phiphat also directed agencies and local personnel to follow conditions closely and maintain safe, continuous travel by road, rail and water as flooding affects Bangkok.
