  • The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has shortened six Eastern Line train services on October 2-3 due to persistent flooding in Prachinburi.
  • As a safety precaution, the affected train routes will operate only on the section between Bangkok and Prachinburi, halting further travel.
  • The service truncations will remain in place until floodwaters recede and railway officials confirm the tracks are safe for passage.

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has modified operational plans for six Eastern Line train services on 2 and 3 October 2026, truncating routes to ensure passenger safety as floodwaters in key areas remain stable.

Under the revised schedule, affected train services will operate exclusively on the section between Bangkok and Prachinburi, with further extensions halted until track conditions improve.

Safety Monitoring and Track Restoration

The SRT confirmed that these route truncations will remain in place across 2–3 October or until floodwaters recede sufficiently to permit safe passage.

Railway engineering teams are continuously monitoring water levels, conducting detailed track inspections, and expediting restoration work along inundated railway sections.

Full service operations will resume once safety standards are satisfied. Passengers are advised to verify real-time train status via the SRT’s online train tracking system or contact the 24-hour Customer Service Centre at 1690 for further assistance.
