Thailand women’s volleyball team eyes Asian title and LA28 Olympic berth

Thailand’s women’s national volleyball team will defend its continental title at the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship in Tianjin, China, from August 21-30, with a direct berth at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics at stake.

Twelve teams will compete in the tournament, with the champions qualifying directly for LA28. The top three teams will also earn places at the 2027 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.

Thailand enter the tournament as defending champions following their 2023 title and have been drawn in Pool B alongside Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Australia.
