Doi Khun Tan National Park in Lamphun closed to tourists due to heavy rains
Doi Khun Tan National Park in Lamphun closed due to heavy rains from storm Kajiki, with risks of run-offs, mudslides and falling trees.
Tourist sites and accommodation in Doi Khun Tan National Park, Lamphun, will be closed from Wednesday following heavy downpours triggered by storm Kajiki.
Chanyapak Thanachartakkarakul, acting chief of the park, said the park in Mae Tha district would remain closed until conditions return to normal.
She explained that the closure was necessary for visitors’ safety, as the storm had brought rainfall heavy enough to trigger run-offs, mudslides, and falling trees at any time.
