Malaysian "technopreneur" and pen-drive inventor Pua Khein-Seng has invested US$2 million (Bt63.5 billion) in a local contract manufacturing company to produce pen drives for the Asian market, starting in July.

The 38-year-old, who is chairman and CEO of Taiwan-listed Phison Electronics Corp, has formed a smart partnership with Hotayi Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd, of which he is also a shareholder.
“Although Phison pen drives are available worldwide, these would be the first to be technically made in Malaysia’, and so I hope Malaysians will give us their support as well,” he said.
