Today's premium lifestyle experience extends beyond the shopping destination itself. It is about the way people travel, discover new places, enjoy distinctive dining experiences and access services that make every journey more rewarding. Through M Card Borderless Privileges, M Card is bringing this approach to life by connecting its members with shopping, dining and lifestyle experiences across Asia and beyond.
With a growing network of 15 global partners across 12 countries and territories, M Card is expanding the role of membership beyond Thailand, offering privileges designed around different destinations, travel preferences and membership tiers.
In Japan, M Card members can enjoy privileges through Matsuya Ginza, Takeya and BicCamera. While Takeya and BicCamera offer tax-free shopping benefits and additional discounts on selected purchases, eligible Platinum and Scarlet members can access the Global Guest Lounge at Matsuya Ginza, adding a premium service dimension to a shopping trip in Tokyo. All benefits are subject to participating partners’ terms and conditions.
Across Greater China, the experience extends beyond retail. At Taikoo Li Chengdu, selected privileges include shopping benefits, coffee vouchers and shopping-card offers, while Platinum and Scarlet members can access additional experiences such as VIP Lounge access and afternoon tea for two, subject to conditions.
At MIXC, participating locations offer welcome gifts, with VIP Lounge access and a welcome drink available to eligible Platinum and Scarlet members. At Grandview Mall in Guangzhou, members can explore selected shopping privileges, while premium-tier members may access additional benefits and experiences, including private ice-skating sessions, fossil-preparation activities and private museum tours, subject to availability and reservation requirements.
For travellers visiting Macau, LISBOETA Macau offers a welcome package and discounts at participating restaurants. Platinum and Scarlet members can also enjoy a welcome drink at Angela’s Café & Lounge, subject to the programme’s terms.
Together, these privileges illustrate how M Card’s global partnerships can connect shopping with hospitality, dining and destination-based experiences.
Beyond Asia, M Card connects eligible members with premium experiences at some of the world’s recognised shopping destinations.
At Harrods in London, eligible Scarlet and Platinum members can benefit from a status-matching programme, with Scarlet M Card members matched to Harrods Black and Platinum M Card members matched to Harrods Gold, subject to programme conditions. Additional privileges may include personal shopping, afternoon tea for two and selected premium shopping experiences.
At Printemps Paris, members can access selected shopping benefits, rooftop dining experiences and priority tax-refund services. Meanwhile, The Bicester Collection, with participating Villages across Europe, offers premium shopping services that may include hands-free shopping, personal shopping and private-suite experiences for eligible members.
These benefits reflect a broader approach to loyalty, where the value of membership can be experienced through service, access and memorable moments, rather than discounts alone.
M Card’s global partner network has expanded from 10 partners across 11 countries to 15 partners across 12 countries and territories under its “Global Partner – Experience-first” strategy. The focus is on selecting partners that are relevant to members’ travel and spending behaviour, with the aim of creating meaningful experiences throughout their customer journey.
Member spending data reinforces the relevance of this approach. From January to July 2026, overseas spending by M Card members increased by approximately 23% year-on-year. Japan accounted for 15.3% and China 13.6% of total overseas spending, representing approximately 29% combined. Hotels and travel, fashion and lifestyle, and department stores were among the key overseas spending categories.
With more than 6.9 million members, M Card uses customer insights to guide the development of partnerships and privileges that reflect members’ preferences and lifestyles.
M Card’s approach reflects the evolution of loyalty from a programme centred on points and discounts towards a lifestyle membership that connects people with relevant experiences across destinations. Basic privileges are available to eligible members across M Card tiers, while Platinum and Scarlet members can access additional premium benefits according to their membership status and participating partners’ terms.
Through M Card Borderless Privileges, shopping, dining, hospitality and exclusive experiences become part of a connected lifestyle that extends beyond Thailand.
