“NPA & Resale Home”, “Home Loan & Consumer Credit”, “Home Buyers’ Expo” and “Home Builder Expo” will be held concurrently. The events will be organised by the Housing Finance Association, Home Buyer Guide magazine, and the Home Builders Association.
The promotional campaigns will include price discounts and special interest rates for mortgages on both new and resale homes, the latter being non-performing assets up for sale by commercial banks.
Kitti Patpongpibul, president of the Housing Finance Association, said this was a good time to buy as property firms try to shore up sales and commercial banks try to write more mortgages in the second half of the year.
The new residential projects featured at the events will include detached houses, townhouses and condominiums. The total value of the 300 projects is more than Bt100 billion.
Meanwhile, nine financial institutions will be selling repossessed homes. They will also provide special mortgage and personal-loan deals for people who buy at the event.
Lalin Property director Churat Chakarakul said the company planned to hold a special promotional campaign at the Home Buyers’ Expo to boost its presales this quarter.
“We target sales of up to Bt100 million from the four-day event,” he said.
Tararom Enterprise will also offer discounts of up to Bt1 million to buyers of its Naber Home Watcharapol detached houses, at a starting price of Bt5.39 million. It will offer free swimming pools for its detached-housing project Parkway A-Liv Ramkhamhaeng 190/1, which offers prices of Bt7.5 million, the company’s president Wasan Kiangsiri said.
“We foresee sales of Bt100 million from this event,” he said.
Home-builder Natural Home Co will offer discounts of Bt1.5 million to customers who sign a contract at the Home Builder Expo, the company’s vice president Jirawat Maleerak said.
He added that the company targeted total sales worth Bt100 million this year, half of which was achieved in the first six months.
“Part of our targeted sales of Bt50 million in the second half of this year will come from the Home Builder Expo,” he said.
Meanwhile, apart from next week’s events at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, some property firms will conduct their own events this half.
For example, Ananda Development kicked off the four-day “Ananda Urban Pulse” event yesterday at Siam Paragon in Bangkok. It offers a special promotion campaign to sell Bt20 billion worth of condos in 12 of its projects, four of which are new launches this month.
“We are spending Bt70 million to conduct this event, targeting presales of up to 40 per cent of the total residential projects featured at the show,” president and chief executive officer Chanond Ruangkritya said.
Property Perfect will hold a 30th-anniversary promotion from tomorrow until the end of the month. It is offering three options for 24 completed residential projects worth more than Bt20 billion. They are zero-interest mortgages for the first year and free tran|sfer fees, free furniture and air-conditioning, and free travel packages.
