Second seeded Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai vie for their second win of the season as Ratchanok Intanon bowed out in the India Open on Saturday.

The Thai pair who started the year in style by claiming the home victory in the Thailand Masters prevailed over Chinese Du Yue and Li Yinhui 21-19 21-17.

They will face Indonesian duo Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu who knocked out top seeded Kamilla Juhl and Christiana Pedersen 21-14 19-21 21-18.

In the women’s singles semi-finals, Ratchanok Intanon went down to top seed P.V. Sindhu of India 13-21 15-21. The Thai had no answers to the powerful smashes of the Indian who also employed similar attacking game to beat her in Hong Kong last November.
