Bangkok is lit up with the glow of the festive season. Colourfully decorated Christmas trees are an imposing sight at city shopping centres contributing to the joyous air.

Installations and projections of light began transforming one of Bangkok’s oldest neighborhoods yesterday evening with the launch of the Awakening Bangkok festival, which will run from 6pm to 11pm daily till Christmas Day.
