Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Wednesday that it had approved two Covid-19 vaccines for children.

A consignment of 200,000 doses of the India-made Covovax vaccine was handed to Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on Thursday under the Quad Vaccine Partnership.

The World Health Organisation on Friday approved emergency use listing of Covid vaccine Covovax, produced by the Serum Institute of India under licence from Novavax and part of the Covax facility portfolio.

The Covovax COVID-19 vaccine has shown promising results from its clinical trials against two new coronavirus variants that emerged in several countries, one of them in the Philippines.
