High-potential foreigners consist of four groups: wealthy global citizens, wealthy retirees, people who want to work from Thailand, and high-skilled professionals.

Bangkok, 2 November 2021 – Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments, today revealed Thai leisure travellers will continue to discover domestic destinations through 2022 as shorter, safer trips become the preferred mode of post-COVID travel. The Visa Voice of the Consumer research, (the “Study”), found that over half (51 per cent) of Thai respondents are likely to take a leisure trip within Thailand within the next year, while 23 per cent plan to travel overseas.
