China's national observatory on Saturday continued to issue a red alert for high temperatures, the most severe warning in its four-tier weather warning system, as a scorching heatwave hits more regions of the country.
Residents along both sides of Moei River in Tak’s Mae Sot district were warned of flash floods on Sunday, as the river was rising close to the “red alert” level near the first Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge in Tambon Tha Sai Luad, provincial disaster prevention chief Kittisak Boonchan said.
