Jeerawut Wongpimonporn, country general manager of Lenovo Thailand, said it was aiming for the high-end market through Chic Republic, a premium home-fashion store.
As a first step, the company announced a new premium product, the Lenovo IdeaCentre A720 all-in-one (AIO) desktop personal computer. It says the IdeaCentre A720 is equipped to become the centre of the digital home, providing fun and entertainment for the whole family, whether it’s multi-player games, watching movies, or video-calling distant friends and family. It is available for Bt69,900.
The company plans to provide its premium U Series notebooks to Chic Republic in the near future.
“We are a pioneer PC manufacturer entering the premium market and providing new experiences to premium customers who want to access high-end products to support their lifestyles,” Jeerawut said.
Lenovo now has about 40 per cent of the AIO market and hopes to increase its share to 50 per cent by the end of the year.
He said Lenovo Thailand targets revenue growth of about 20 per cent this year. It aims to achieve about 10 per cent of the PC market, or about 4 million units, in 2012.
