Mazda Sales (Thailand) president Choichi Yuki said the kingdom’s auto market has been witnessing strong movements this year.
“Every brand has been highly active, but most companies have been found to concentrate on sales strategies rather than create higher market value,” he said. “During the final months of this year we will be seeing increased competition among auto companies,” he said.
The facelifted Mazda2 Elegance gets a large number of new features both inside and out. The styling improvements start with the front and rear skirts, followed by 16-inch polished silver alloy wheels that reflect the latest trend from Europe. The new 4-beam projector headlights at the front are also unique in its class, while the seat upholstery has been switched from beige to black leather. Rear sensors for better safety while backing up are offered as standard, and the door handles come in chrome.
In terms of infotainment, the Mazda2 Elegance now comes with a DVD player and 7-inch touchscreen display, remote control, Bluetooth connectivity, iPhone/iPod/USB/AUX connection, and steering wheel-mounted controls.
MST vice president for marketing Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee said that despite the intense competition in the automobile market, Mazda has been maintaining a strong sales performance and increasing its market share by focusing on its strengths.
“Mazda has always concentrated on product value, which should be the true reason behind each customer’s purchasing decision. We have been studying customer behaviour and reflecting those requirements in our continuously improving vehicles,” she said.
