BIG Motor Sale brings together popular motoring marques

Organisers of the Big Motor Sale 2017 hope that the event will dramatically boost the auto market during the third quarter and generate as much as Bt30 billion.
A total of 23 car brands and 13 motorcycle brands are taking part in the event, which kicked off at BITEC today and ends on August 27.
As many as 25,000 orders are forecasted to be placed for new cars, while 5,000 bikes are also expected to be sold, according to organiser Jaruay Khanmanee, managing director of Yanyont Square Group Co Ltd.
“We expect 1.3-1.5 million visitors this year and hope to significantly help boost the automobile industry and the economy,” he said, adding that there is no entry fee.
“During the first six months of this year, auto sales in Thailand reached 410,000 units, and that figure is expected to reach 800,000 units as forecasted by the Federation of Thai Industries” he added.
Highlights at the sale include new SUV models such as the Audi Q5 and Range Rover Velar, as well as the Toyota Yaris ATIV eco car.
