Official launch for revamped Isuzu D-MAX pickup amid celebrations for Japanese manufacturer’s 60th y

The 2017 Isuzu D-MAX pickup truck will be officially launched on Saturday as the Japanese commercial vehicle producer celebrates its 60th year in Thailand.
The 60th anniversary event will be held at Challenger 1 Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani along with the official launch of the minor-change D-MAX lineup.
According to distributor Tripetch Isuzu Sales Co Ltd, the 2017 D-MAX retails Bt3,000 to Bt30,000 more than its predecessor (1.9-litre and 3.0-litre engine choices), a result of the cosmetic change along with minor upgrades, such as an additional overdrive gear for the 1.9-litre Spark commercial pickup model aimed at further improving fuel efficiency.
Isuzu is hoping to beat Toyota and reclaim its commercial vehicle crown this year. From January to September, Isuzu sold 118,804 commercial vehicles, an increase of 13.9 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2016, compared to Toyota's 100,500, down by 10.2 per cent.
