Race hard, party harder
Cape Panwa Hotel and Kantary Bay Hotel in Phuket have once again been recognised as title sponsors for Phuket Raceweek, the region’s top regatta, and will therefore be hosting the race from July 15 to 20. The six-day Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek 2015 is expected to draw skippers and crews from around the world. Online registration is now open. Visit www.PhuketRaceWeek.com.

Pretty in pink
The Siam tulip, the wild flower known in Thai as dok krajiao, will once again be carpeting Sai Thong and Pa Hin Ngam national parks in Chaiyaphum province from the middle of this month. The parks are both great venues for walking and trekking although weekends can get very crowded. The flowers blossom through the end of August.

Bubbly and brunch
J’aime by Jean-Michel Lorain, a French restaurant in U Sathorn Bangkok, will be offering Sunday brunch starting from this weekend. Priced at Bt3,999 with free-flow Chandon sparkling wine, it features such specialities as Alaskan King Crabs and traditional Lyon charcuterie from Michael Augier. Book a table by calling (02) 119 4899 or email [email protected].

Getting comprehensive with management
Dusit International has entered into an agreement with Three Rivers System to use its Comprehensive Academic Management System at the soon-to-open Dusit Thani Hotel School. The system will be used to manage a student’s whole lifecycle from admission to alumnus and aims to avoid duplicated effort and duplicated information. Students can access the online registration system, check their academic records, pay tuition fees and retrieve school announcements and other services. The new school is scheduled to open in August and will be Thailand’s first hospitality training facility based on Asean Common Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals.
