NBTC board gives interim nod to admin structure
The board of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has approved the interim structuring of its ad-ministrative office.
The set-up will be used for six months and then reviewed, NBTC secretary-general-designate Takorn Tantasit said.
Takorn, who will take charge of the office, is expected to be formally appointed to the post this week. The office will have four deputy secretaries-general, two of whom will become secretaries of the NBTC’s broadcasting and telecom committees.
The other two will administer domestic and international affairs.
The deputy secretaries-general will have seven assistants, two of whom will support the broadcasting committee and two the telecom committee. The other three will support the deputy secretaries-general in charge of the administration of domestic and international affairs.
The NBTC broadcasting team has 150 staff, while the telecom team has 700.
An NBTC source said the broadcasting committee and its staff would work in offices in the Ex-Im Bank building, though the telecom committee wanted to see all of the commission’s staff working in the same place, at NBTC headquarters.
