Ekawit Pinyothammanothai, former president of Thai Hotel Association of Krabi, said that though the percentage of cancellation remained low, it reflected travellers' shattered confidence in safety.
He noted that it remained to be seen how the Bangkok bombing would affect the tourism industry in the province and throughout Thailand. The government should urgently restore confidence through remedial measures, he said.
Locating the culprits is a priority, he said, adding that only then would the motive be unveiled.
